No matter where you look, sustainable design and construction are becoming a way of life and a driving force in the way business is conducted. This approach has long since been a part of Stewart Construction and Development Co.’s philosophy. Our goal has always been to minimize negative environmental impacts without jeopardizing the quality of our product.
Mark Stewart, President of Stewart Construction and Development Co., is one of a select group of professional builders, remodelers and other industry professionals nationwide who have earned the Master Certified Green Professional (MCGP) designation. It is the mission of the NAHB's program, Green Building Initiative (GBI), to accelerate the adoption of building practices that result in energy-efficient, healthier and environmental sustainable buildings. The GBI promotes credible and practical green building practices for residential and commercial construction.
From design through completion, our projects exceed the code requirements for energy efficiency. Where possible and in conjunction with our clients commitment, we will meet the requirements of the US Green Building Council, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Energy Star Certification requirements.
As a company, we are committed to incorporating environmental considerations and resource efficiency into every step of the building and development process to minimize environmental impact.
